Workforce Development Series Continues
“Everyone Gets a Job in Hamden: Exploring Career and Technical Educational Opportunities”
SESSION 4: Manufacturing: Tuesday March 5th
Friends Room at Miller Library: 6:30 PM
Now that we have had the first three sessions on Health Care, STEM and the Trades, Hamden’s Department of Economic and Neighborhood Development is pleased to announce the next panel for the series on manufacturing. This workforce series promotes many career opportunities for Hamden residents, particularly students entering or leaving middle school or entering or currently in high school. All sessions are videotaped.

You will hear presentations on the many career opportunities and the earning potential there is in modern manufacturing. Speakers include:
Christine D. Reardon is the Manager of Strategic Development and Business Services for Workforce Alliance. Chris will discuss where the jobs are.
Vincent J. Palumbo is the owner of Raymon Tools, He will discuss the creative and analytical skills needed for a good manufacturing job and what it is like to run
a manufacturing company.
Jamison Scott is the Executive Vice President of Air Handling Systems and the President of the New Haven Manufacturing Association. Jamie will discuss manufacturing opportunities and earning potential in the region.
Dr. Mary Moran is the Principal of Eli Whitney Technical High School in Hamden, and will present the great educational opportunities there are at Eli Whitney to prepare students for manufacturing and the trades.

· Sustainability and Environmental Science
· Entrepreneurship and How to Start a Businesses
· Job Readiness: Internships, Appearance, Interview Skills, Financial Literacy, and Student Debt
