Hamden’s Business Assistance Center is Open to Help Small Businesses Owners and would be Entrepreneurs
There is a free resource in the Town of Hamden for people who are seeking to open or expand a business of their own. That resource is the Business Assistance Center. This program is a cooperative effort between the Town of Hamden, Quinnipiac University, the Hamden Chamber of Commerce and other local and statewide organizations. The Business Assistance Center (BAC) acts as a referral center to match its client’s needs with the existing network of technical assistance and other service providers that exist throughout the state. Other services provided by the BAC include free general seminars, assistance with financing, and a (fee based) Business Certification Program, in such disciplines as writing business plans, performing cash flow analysis, personnel and human resource planning.
Students from the Quinnipiac University School of Business and members of other organizations such as the Hamden Chamber of Commerce and Connecticut Minority Supply Development Council provide specific services (free of charge) to the participating individuals or firms. These services may include business to business marketing services and consultation on such issues as accounting, legal issues, website design, etc. Clients may also be provided access to bidding and finance opportunities for minority and women owned businesses.
This program is administered by Richard Pearce, of Evolution Enterprises, who assesses the client’s needs, refers them to the appropriate service providers, and coordinates their progression in achieving their goals.
To discuss how the BAC may help you to establish or grow your business or to schedule a confidential meeting please contact Richard Pearce at (203) 287-7030 or email us.
