Business Incentive Program Renewed for 13th Year, Bringing Jobs and Results to the Town and Region
In January of 2012, the Town approved a continuation of its’ successful Business Incentive Program and extension of its’ three year strategy. This program has worked throughout Hamden since 1998, serving over 100 businesses and resulting in over $27 million dollars in investment in Commercial property improvements.
Hamden’s Business Incentive Program provides tax abatements, grants, waivers of building permit fees and low interest loans for renovations and the purchase of equipment and machinery. Other program approved under the new three year plan include a continuation of the Business Assistance Center and the Predevelopment Cost Program as well as specialized marketing to several new business sectors.
