TWO NEW BUSINESSES MOVE TO HAMDEN: APPROVED FOR BUSINESS INCENTIVES

 

Mayor Scott Jackson and Director of Economic and Community Development  Dale Kroop are pleased to announce that two new businesses plan to move to Hamden. “We are thrilled that in the current economic climate that two new business, including a manufacturing company are moving to Hamden.” 

 

Both businesses were approved on April 5th by the Legislative Council for financial benefits under Hamden’s Business Incentive Program.

 

The Dancer’s Shop: The Dancer's Shop carries a wide variety of dancewear, 
shoes, liturgical, and cheerleading supplies. They will move from their current location in New Haven to the site of the former Markman TV at the corner of State and Merritt Streets. Bar-Plate Diecutters/Makers: Source As a part of the tool making industry, Diemakers and cutters  make punches, dies, steel rule dies, and die sets. Bar-Plate makes tolls, tape products machines and many more traditional Tool and Die products not often easily found in CT.
